But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. |
2 Corinthians 3:18 |
Be Gloriously Transformed |
Good things happen to you
when you look to Jesus and behold His glory. The woman who had a
bleeding condition for 12 years received her healing when she looked to
Jesus. Peter did the supernatural and walked on water as He looked to
Jesus. Even blind Bartimaeus received his sight when he “looked” to
Jesus by crying out to Him.
What does it mean to “behold Jesus” today?
I asked the Lord a similar
question once and His answer to me was, “Emmaus road.” Immediately, I
knew He was referring to the experience two of His disciples had when He
spoke to them about things concerning Himself in the Scriptures
while walking with them on the road to Emmaus. Their hearts burned
within them as He opened the Scriptures to them, showing them how the
Scriptures were talking about Him (Luke 24:27, 32). The experience so
energized the initially depressed disciples that they were able to walk
seven miles with Him to Emmaus and later seven miles back to Jerusalem!
My friend, the way you
behold Jesus’ glory today is to see Him in the Scriptures. He is there
in the stories, in the prophecies, in the parables, in the laws, in the
rituals and even in the temple design. When you find Him, the Scriptures
come alive. When you see Him, you see His glory. And as you behold His
beauty, you are transformed from glory to glory!
