Be Anxious For Nothing

Do you know that God is faithfully supplying His grace to every area of our lives? Because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross, God’s grace is constantly flowing freely from heaven to us.

You might be wondering, “Why then am I not seeing this supply, Pastor Prince?”

It is because you are choking the flow.

“What do you mean by 'choking the flow', Pastor Prince? How do I choke God’s flow of grace?”

Here is an illustration the Lord gave me years ago to help you understand what I am saying:
Imagine that there are many pipes coming down from heaven. These are flexible pipes and they are all ministering God’s manifold grace into every area of your life. There is a pipe for healing, a pipe for provision, a pipe for relationships, a pipe for marriage, and so on.

God’s supply into these pipes is always flowing. However, whenever you worry in a particular area of your life, you grab hold of one of those pipes so tightly that you hinder the flow of God’s grace into that area. Is His grace still being supplied from heaven? Yes, but the pipe is choked by your worries and cares. As a result, you cannot receive His grace for that area.

Conversely, in those areas that you are not worried about, His grace flows freely, abundantly supplying all your needs there.

“But how can I not be worried? I have just lost my job, my bank account is running low and I’m looking at a mountain of bills!”

The way to nip worrying in the bud is to do what our Lord Jesus, the Prince of Peace said, in Philippians 4:6-7:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will
guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Friend, make a choice to not worry. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). When there is something you are concerned about, bring it to the Lord in prayer. Just tell Him about the problem and cast your cares to Him, knowing that He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Then, thank Him that He has heard you and is doing something about the problem.

If you do this and cast every care to the Lord whenever you start to worry, “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus," and you’ll soon find a fresh supply of grace abounding toward you.

Grace Is The Life You Get To Live

Grace is the Life you get to Live

Sometimes the best news can come to you in the shortest sentences.

If you think about it, it really is true. Things like...
"You’re hired."
"I believe in you."
"You made the team."
"Congratulations on the promotion." Lives are often greatly impacted and transformed by just one sentence.

Well, I have a sentence for you today that is truly life-changing.

It’s a simple message—only four words—but I believe these are four words that you and I, and the Body of Christ, need to hear today.
Beloved, as a believer, perhaps the best news I could ever give you is this...

God is for you!

God is not angry with you. He is not your adversary. He is not against you.

God accepts you. God approves of you. God is for you.

Because of the perfect, finished work of Jesus, you are fully forgiven and completely accepted by the Father!

You are clothed in the righteousness of Christ (see Romans 13:14, Isaiah 61:10, Philippians 3:9). That means when God looks at you, He doesn’t see all the things you’ve done wrong...He sees all the things Jesus did right.

This is why the gospel is the "good news." Your heavenly Father is not counting your sins against you!

God loves you.

God delights in you.

God is for you!

Let me show you another truth that is so very important:

We all know that when we received Christ, we were saved, but did you know that the word used in the Bible for "salvation" means much more than to be saved from hell?

The Greek word for salvation is the word sozo. Sozo is an ongoing salvation that affects every part of your life.

So when Paul says in Romans 1:16, "...I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation..."—he is saying:

I am not ashamed of the good news of Christ, for it is the power of God to sozo you (to save you continually, in every area)...

To make you well if you’re sick
To keep you well if you’re not sick
To preserve you from danger
To bless your finances
To bring well-being to your family
To renew your spirit, soul and body

Because you are righteous in Christ, you can experience the ongoing power of salvation each and every day...in each and every part of your life.

This is the good news. This is the message worth proclaiming to the world!

Grace is not a doctrine to be taught...it is a life to be lived. The beauty and power of Christ’s finished work doesn’t just change our theology; the finished work changes our lives!

Beloved, I want you to know that I am so grateful for you.

Your gift makes it possible for us to boldly proclaim the gospel of grace around the world and demonstrate the love of Christ through our missions initiatives. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for helping us unveil the beauty and the majesty of Jesus to millions all over the globe.

As you go about your day, be conscious of the truth that you have right standing before God because of the finished work of His Son, Jesus.

Your heavenly Father loves you, He accepts you and He is for you.

Rest And Flow With Jesus

Jesus lived in the unforced rhythms of grace. Everything He said and did was beautiful, perfectly timed. Always at the right place at the right time doing the right thing, His every word and deed went up to the Father as a sweet-smelling aroma.

My friend, Jesus wants you to learn His unforced rhythms of grace. He wants you to flow with Him. He’s not hard to follow. His yoke isn’t heavy or burdensome. It’s easy and light. When you walk in His ways, you will find true rest.

Beloved, Jesus’ ways are not rash or impatient. For example, He will never give you a prompting to spend more than you have on what you don’t need. He will never lead you into a place of lack. Instead, He will lead you to see God’s goodness that is already evident in your life. He will lead you to faithfully and diligently step from one level of increase to another. As you keep company with Him, He will teach you how to live the Christ-life!

And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it.

Grace For Your Darkest Moments

Look at today’s verse and notice that the manna fell on the camp of the Israelites during the night.

My friend, night speaks of the darkest moments in one’s life. This means that in your darkest moments, God is still supplying you His “manna” or grace. He has not abandoned you and left you to your own devices. No, He is still there with you, caring for you, watching over you and working things out for your good.

So beloved, rest in God’s love for you and let Him sort things out for you. Stop trying to solve the problem in your own strength and wisdom—let God be God to you. He is with you, for your success and will provide for your needs. His grace for you falls afresh every day. His mercies that are new every morning will also see you through the darkest nights!

Today, just see His grace upon you and all around you. Be conscious of it, thank Him for it, and see His grace do wonders for you!

Only Jesus’ Finished Work Works

Whatever the problems confronting us today, there is only one solution for them—Jesus’ finished work. His perfect work at the cross covers our family life, finances, health, career...every area. It puts God righteously on our side, and enables us to be blessed with His provision and good success in all things. In contrast, our trust in our works will come to nothing, for there is nothing that we can do to earn God’s blessings.

Today, if you’re facing a challenge, simply depend on His finished work and not your works. If you’re experiencing symptoms in your body, meditate on and believe that Jesus was scourged for your healing (Isaiah 53:5). If you’re in the midst of financial lack, meditate on and believe that Jesus was made poor at the cross so that you can be richly supplied in all things (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Beloved, He has done it all for you. Fix your eyes on His finished work. It is the only work that works!

God Keeps His Promises

It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep His promise.

Hebrews 11:11, NLT

God Keeps His Promises

How do you continue to believe God for the breakthrough that you need when you don’t feel that you have the faith to go on?

My friend, the answer lies in today’s scripture. Sarah was “barren and was too old” to have a child, but “by faith” she received strength to conceive and gave birth to Isaac. Her faith was involved. How did Sarah exercise her faith to receive her miracle? She simply “believed that God would keep His promise.” In other words, she banked on the faithfulness of God. Her eyes were not on her faith or lack of it, nor were they on how tough her natural circumstances were.

When you feel that your faith has run out, just rest in how God is always faithful! Count on His faithfulness, not your faithfulness. Lean hard on the fact that He remains faithful even when you’re wavering in faith (2 Timothy 2:13).

Beloved, once God gives you a promise from His Word, it’s not for you to struggle and conjure up faith to make His promise come to pass. You cannot make the miracle happen—only God can. You are to rest in Him who has promised, rest in His faithfulness, and you will experience your miracle!

The Spirit Of Sonship

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

The Spirit Of Sonship

The Spirit of sonship which we have received from God is the Spirit by which we cry, “Abba, Father.” Have you ever cried to God like He is your Daddy? Yes, He is El Shaddai. He is Elohim. But in the new covenant He is Daddy! The Holy Spirit put the Aramaic word “Abba” there, which means “Daddy” or “Papa” in English, and didn’t have it translated because He wants us to know that God is not a distant, impersonal being, but a close and intimate Daddy! That is the Spirit of sonship.

My friend, when you pray, learn to say, “Dear Daddy God…” Forget the formalities and traditions of man. Just call Him “Daddy”, and sense His closeness to you. You can bring all your cares, worries and anxieties to Him, knowing that the all-powerful King of the universe is your Daddy!

At the cross, Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46). For the first time, He addressed His Father as “God.” He experienced distance—in fact, a cutting-off—from the Father because He was carrying all our sins upon Himself. Why? So that you and I can experience closeness and intimacy with the Father, and cry out “Daddy!” from our hearts.

A child who cries “Daddy!” belongs in his daddy’s embrace. So when we cry out, “Daddy God!” we take our place as His beloved children, and find our strong and loving Daddy rushing in to embrace, protect and deliver us!
